Supporting Military-Connected Students & Families

Military-connected students bring resilience, perspective, and a spirit of service to our school community. Richard Wright Public Charter School is committed to helping every student feel known, supported, and ready to thrive - from the first day of enrollment through graduation.

A Steady Welcome During Times of Change

Frequent moves, deployments, and changes in school requirements can add extra layers to a student’s educational journey. Our school points of contact work with military-connected families to identify needs early, coordinate support, and connect students with the right people and resources.

01

Start Strong

Guidance with enrollment, records transfer, course placement, and the transition into Richard Wright’s academic community.

02

Stay Connected

Connections to school staff, counseling and student-support services, special education resources, and opportunities to get involved.

03

Plan the Next Step

Help navigating credit and graduation questions, future school transitions, and referrals to military-family education partners.

Your School Points of Contact

Families are encouraged to reach out before a move when possible, or at any point during the school year. Our designated contacts can help begin the conversation and coordinate next steps.
