Richard Wright Public Charter School for Journalism and Media Arts entire student body and faculty visited the Martin Luther King Memorial. The rain did not damper the excitement of the students as they walked to the memorial. “His journey was hard fought for the rights of many, inclusive of the current generation of school age children and those to follow. A little rain will not stop us from paying him homage”, said Marco Brooks, English Lead Teacher. The students returned to school with a deeper sense of pride after viewing the majesty of the memorial. It was another day to be proud of being a Washingtonian and having so much history and remembrance at our doors!
